The alert system consists of a server and database in Stockholm and the C3 BMS application on the mobile phone.

Traffic between the server and the mobile phone is using GPRS. When you start C3 BMS your mobile telephone switches up against the server automatically.

The server receives messages sent from your mobile phone and transmits them to all other persons that have C3 BMS on their mobile phones (depending on how they have chosen to filter the information you want to receive).

Profiles of rules that each person, through the mobile phone, themselves can enter into the server keeps track of which messages he or she wishes to receive.
